The Entrepreneurship Support Mechanism, an important initiative to support entrepreneurship and of the local economy will be put into operation in the near future, after the signing of the contract by the Regional Governor of Western Greece Nectarios Farmakis and the contractor of the project. The purpose of the Mechanism is the development of companies in the Regional Units of Etoloakarnania, Achaia and Ilia, the improvement of their operation, their access to new markets, as well as the provision specialist advisory support to enhance their competitiveness and extroversion their.
At this time, the preparation of the building facilities of the Mechanism is underway, which will operate in Patras, Agrinio and Pyrgos and will welcome the interested companies of Region of Western Greece as well as the development of its basic operating tools (database business portal, information material, business support material, etc.). The operation of the Mechanism is co-financed by the NSRF through the RDP of Western Greece. Carrier implementation (beneficiary) is the Regional Development Fund of the Region of Western Greece. The contractor of the project is the association of legal entities ICAP Advisory, Headway Ltd. and Specialist Research Funds Account of the University of Peloponnese.
The 1st survey to monitor the situation by the Entrepreneurship Support Mechanism has been completed. The research focuses on the analysis of the estimates of the companies of the Region of Western Greece regarding the course of their activity in the 2nd quarter of the year 2021, as well as their expectations for the next Semester. The gradual restart of the Greek economy seems to have affected estimates and business expectations, which in general evoke a sense of restraint optimism.

e-Retail (B 'cycle) The submission of applications for the 2nd Cycle of the "e-Retail" Action started on 09/7/2021.The Action subsidizes costs of up to € 5,000 for the creation or upgrade of an electronic e-shop of retail companies.
